A post-follow-up or perfecting appointment is a usual practice for permanent cosmetic procedures, though not necessary for every procedure. Permanent Cosmetics is both a medical science and an art. For perfect final results, clients can book as many as are desired or required after the initial main service. Designer styles may require coming in for some "perfecting" or final brush-strokes. Skin type, skin integrity, health, and genetics are also contributing factors in healed results. A well-followed aftercare procedure ensures pigment implantation; however, even with a perfect aftercare protocol, only so much pigment can be implanted in one service to preserve skin integrity so initial healed results will vary on every client. Perfecting appointments are available 5-6 weeks after the main service, and after inflammation has fully subsided.
